For the school year 2025-2026, dates for the Sixth Form Parents Evening are as follows:
- Year 13 students – Wednesday 14 January 2026
- Year 12 students – Wednesday 28 February 2026

Our Parents Evenings are important and provide you with an opportunity to speak to subject staff around progress so far and the expectations going forward. Appointments take place face-to-face in school. We now use School Cloud for our bookings. Sixth Form Open Evening
We are delighted to welcome both internal and external students to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 21st October 2026, 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm.
Our Sixth Form is an integral part of our school community; our students actively contribute to life here at Derby Moor; not only through their learning but by becoming role-models to other students and by taking part in an extensive range of enrichment and leadership activities.
Our Key Stage 5 provision continues to grow and this reflects the continuing dedication of our expert teachers, the depth of our pastoral support and the strong partnerships we have established with local and national employers, which enable every student to aspire to fulfil their true potential.
There will be a presentation from our Principal and the Head of Sixth Form about our provision and the application process in the school hall at 5.30 pm. This will be repeated at 6.15 pm.
Following this, there will an opportunity for you to explore the range of courses that we offer by visiting the curriculum areas and the modern facilities we have on site.
